Everton are rumoured to be considering a move for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck, according to Football Insider.

The former Manchester United forward is out of contract at the end of the season and is available to join a club on free transfer.

Welbeck, who has turned out for England, rumoured to earn £125k a week at Arsenal has attracted interest from the Toffees, as well as Newcastle United, West Ham and abroad.

The 28 year old has struggled win injuries since his move to Arsenal, but has proved his capability of finding the net. Everton have struggled themselves to find someone to lead their line effectively.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still learning the trade and the big money move of Cenk Tosun failed to live up to the bill. Marco Silva has had to rely on Richarlison, who is a natural wide player, to play centrally and provide the goals for his side.

Welbeck will provide energy, experience and the ability to finish to an Everton team which will hope to challenge for the european spots next season.
